Introduction
You can now download the CERN 50 years tracker
presentation from this website directly, you do not need any more to
download it via DFS.
You can also download the part about rod
cabling separately that I made with help of my Canon PowerShot A70™.
After many comments from your side, last-minute modifications in our
exposition and also some reflection on my side, I have decided to change the
50 year celebration presentation completely. The reason is that the movie was
covering basically everything from the introduction to the end (as the
exposition was), and such could only run in "parallel" to the
exposition. This was against the original idea.
Instead of the old version which consisted of a PowerPoint™
presentation with two embedded movies, now there is only one movie file. It
consists of the "life-cycle" of a rod and a module. It starts with
rod cabling at CERN, then it shows module construction and rod assembly at
UCSB, and ends with a short picture of a Higgs event as it is seen by the
tracker (although in old MSGC-style layout).
This way, the movie can be shown at the end of the exposition, when the
user has already seen the different components. It now serves as a repetition
in pictures of what has been said before.
